This environment is loosely based on a screenshot from Half-Life 2. I made various props in 3D Studio Max and assembled the scene in Unreal Editor 3. I wanted to really push the mood and atmosphere of this scene to look like some kind of secret rundown headquarters for a rebel group of some kind.
I learned how to do a few new things with this piece including the use of decals, custom godrays, and the use of a light function to fake the light cast on the ground by the window. Half the assets were created by a friend of mine, the other half was done by me. I also assembled the scene, created the materials, lit it, and added various effects. |
