This was our entry for the first Unearthly Challenge. Similar to Dominance War, Unearthly brings together various 3d and 2d forums in an environment art battle. I'm proud to say that my team won 3rd place in the 3D competition. On the team with me were Toli Carter and Phil Horowitz.

The work took about 3 weeks from concept to completion. Each member created various assets and all were placed together and rendered realtime using Unreal Engine 3. Our final scene had to be less than 250,000 triangles and we had a maximum cumilative texture resolution of 4096x4096 pixels. We spent some time concepting out various styles and themes and finally settled on an environment that feels dangerous and poisonous. I think we captured that feeling very well.

This project was fun and different in that almost all of it was organic and gave me an opportunity to sculpt freely in Zbrush.
